British singer Roger Daltrey says 'a dead dog' would have beaten Hillary Clinton in the U.S. presidential election.

The Who's legendary front man tells the British music news website NME that President Donald Trump 'really didn't win because Democrats threw it away by putting (Hillary Clinton) up. A dead dog would have won it against (her), look at that.'

The 73-year-old also commented about Trump's infamous hairstyle.

'His f***ing haircut! He needs it cut and as my mother would say, "wash your f***ing mouth out"'

Daltrey also spoke in favor of his country's move to leave the European Union.

'We are getting out, and when the dust settles I think that it'll be seen that it's the right thing for this country to have done, that's for sure,' he explained.

The formal process to leave the European Union has already been started by British Prime Minister Theresa May.

Though many disagree with the move, Daltrey said it will help the country.

'It's got nothing to do with any of the immigration issues or any of that for me,' he explained.

'It was to do with much more. The majority of this country felt that their voices weren't being heard.

Daltrey (above left in 2016 and right in mid-1970s) also spoke in favor of his country's move to leave the European Union. He said: 'We are getting out, and when the dust settles I think that it'll be seen that it's the right thing for this country to have done, that's for sure'

'It would have been nice to do a deal with Europe, but they didn't want to do a deal, and they sent [David] Cameron back with a bag.

'I'm sad we voted how we voted, but I think we have to go with it now.

'This country will always be all right, I don't worry about it. You know it's going to be bumpy on the way — we expected that; the ones that voted to get out.

'But Iceland had it a bit bumpy when they went bankrupt, but oh not now.'

The former Sex Pistols singer said the working class has spoken and he's 'one of them and... with them.'

Daltrey's comments follow those of British-born punk legend Johnny Rotten, who told 'Good Morning Britain' earlier this week that he supported the Brexit vote.
