Coronation Street's Catherine Tyldesley cuddles up to cute son Alfie as she joins co-star Kym Marsh at LEGOLAND discovery launch

She has recently spoken out about wanting to have more children.

Catherine Tyldesley was loving every minute of being a mother as she cradled young son Alfie in her arms at the LEGOLAND discovery launch in Manchester on Thursday, where fellow Coronation Street star Kym Marsh was also a guest.

The 33-year-old mum showed off her impressive six stone weight loss in skintight leggings after giving birth to her son in March last year.

While she wore a trendy smart pale green jacket over a white T-shirt, Catherine dressed down the simple attire with comfy white trainers.

She looked cosy with her little boy who she dressed in a long suit yellow playsuit and a blue puffer coat, in bright colours a perfect match for the LEGO opening.

The Corrie beauty got hitched to the father of her son Tom Pitfield in May last year and invited her co-stars along to the big day.  

The broody mum opened up about how the couple would love to have more children despite struggling with her confidence after giving birth.

She told Hello! magazine: 'We’d love for Alfie to have a little brother or sister. I once said I’d like four but I think we will settle at two.

'I know a lot of mums when they first have their baby do lose their confidence. I know I did. I’m only now starting to feel like myself, to be honest.'

Catherine's co-star Kym, 40, however made an appearance on Thursday.

Despite posing for photos alone, the soap star attended the exciting event with her darling daughter Polly, six.

Kym is also mother to David, 22 and her daughter Emilie, 19 from her previous relationship with Dave Cunliffe.

Making it a mother-daughter evening, she rocked up in a fashionable leather jacket teamed with skintight black trousers.

Proving your outfit is all about the shoes you choose, the soap star strutted her stuff in killer towering heeled boots which added a touch of elegance to her attire.

But Catherine wasn't the only star to treat her child as other celebrities invited their offspring to the children's event.

Emmerdale star Adam Thomas, 28, wore a matching stylish outfit to his son Teddy while mum and fiancée Caroline Daly at home.

It is obvious the two-year-old tot takes after his dad as the pair looked strikingly alike.

The troublesome duo looked very dapper as they turned up in the same beige coat, blue jeans and white trainers.

Hollyoaks actress Lysette Anthony, 53, brought her lookalike son Jimi, who has the same golden tresses, into a hug as they looked cosy together.  

DJ Mark Radcliffe, 58, brought two of his three daughters along to the event.

But they weren't shy of the spotlight as the two girls beamed as they cuddled stuffed toys.

The soap stars gathered for the opening of the new LEGO Ninjago City Adventure playground, an impressive three storeys high.
