Donald Trump's second wife took to Instagram on Thursday to share some kind words about for former step-daughter, Ivanka.

Marla Maples, 53, uploaded a shot of herself posed with Ivanka, then 15, at a charity basketball even on September 28, 1997.

She recalled asking her then-step-daughter to join, calling the tournament a 'special moment'.

Flashback Friday! Marla Maples posted an old picture on Instagram of herself playing basketball with Ivanka

Warm feelings: She said she was 'so happy' Ivanka, then 15, joined her that day

Marla's attention was brought to the image when an Ivanka fan account posted it, and Marla decided to follow suit.

'I was 1st asked to coach the celeb team since it was all boys playing & I said if I can play & bring some girls along I'm all in!' she wrote, referring to the Shooting Gallery's Third Annual Celebrity basketball game at Hunter College.

'So happy Ivanka joined me #SpecialMoments #MyFavSportToPlay,' she added, 'and yes I was going through my can't be a blonde stage.'

She also gave a shout-out after the Republican National Convention: 'Luv the grace these children show & the love captured in this moment'

Marla clearly remembers her time with Ivanka fondly, though the First Daughter said last year that she and her former stepmother are not close.

'[Marla] was out in California and really my relationship is with Tiffany,' she said.

Marla began seeing Donald Trump when he was still married to Ivanka's mom, Ivanka, and their affair was tabloid fodder at the time.

However, Marla been praising Ivanka since their family was thrust further into the spotlight during Trump's campaign.

In January, she shared another throwback snap of herself posing with a teenage Ivanka and toddler Tiffany on the slopes.

Marla also congratulated the Trump children on their 'grace' during the Republican National Convention last year, sharing a photo of them on the cover of the international addition of the New York Times with the caption: 'Luv the grace these children show & the love captured in this moment @IvankaTrump @EricTrump @tiffanytrump luv u.'
