A clothing brand known for promoting body positivity is being blasted online for hiring distinctly less-than-plus-size models to sell their plus-size clothing.

Fashion Nova have received plenty of praise recently for their curve-friendly fashions, with celebrities including Kylie Jenner, Khloé Kardashian and Blac Chyna being spotted in their wares.

But the California-based company has come under fire after plus-size model Tabria Majors took to social media to blast the brand for using thin models for showing their plus-size items online.

'@FashionNovaCurve, why do you use size 2 models to represent your plus size line? #questionsthatneedanswers,' she wrote.

Along with the call-out, Tabria also included a photo of herself showing off her plus-size form in a pair of dark pants.

The post has led to a huge backlash for the brand, with many vowing to boycott their products until they sort out their representation problem.

While the company's very popular - more than 280,000 followers - Instagram is full of plus-size ladies modeling their wares, the actual website appears to exclusively feature tiny-waisted women.

Tabria's statement has racked up more than 13,000 likes in just six days.

The backlash is directed at the brand's insistence that it is inclusive of all body sizes, as Richard Saghian, founder and CEO of Fashion Nova, recently explained to Essence.

'The Fashion Nova woman is a confident, beautiful, and stylish presence,' he added. 'She is proud of her body and loves to let her personality shine.'
