The altercation took place in episode two, at Ollie Locke's gender reveal party for Binky Felstead and JP's forthcoming baby.

Spying James across the room, Ryan approached the beefcake and asked him why he had decided to hit on Louise at Mark Francis Vandelli's Russian Ball.

And Louise's brother Sam Thompson has now given his twopence worth on the matter.

'James was a douche!' the 24-year-old boldly declared, no holds barred, in a chat with MailOnline. 'He's come in and tried to make out he's a friendly guy with an Irish accent, but he's not.'

Elaborating on the fact that James was clearly interested in Louise, despite the well-known fact that she has a boyfriend (her Instagram is a good resource for those who aren't sure), Sam went on...

'You don't start chatting to someone who you know full well is in a relationship and tell her a million times how pretty she is!'

Of Ryan's decision to confront James after this, following claims that Louise had subsequently 'added him on Facebook' following the Russian Ball, Sam said: 'Ryan did overreact, yeah, but James was out of line. He tried [to hit on Louise] and he failed.'

Show them you're a star in Stephanie's For Love and Lemons top

Last night's episode of Made In Chelsea was all about whether Binky and JP are expecting a baby boy or girl. Turns out the newest and smallest addition to the MIC cast is going to be a girl!

And in all the celebrating, we couldn't help but notice Stephanie Pratt's outfit. It's a lace top and matching skirt by For Love and Lemons and we're a huge fan of the star print. The high neck and little frill sleeves are super cute, so start shopping by clicking the link (right) through to Oxygen Boutique, where you can buy the whole shebang.

But if a two-piece is a little too OTT for you, why not style the crop top with a pair of high waist jeans?

Or if you want to see what else the high street has to offer in the crop top department, our edit below is the place to go. This version by Hope & Ivy at Topshop will do the trick!

Tiff Watson, Sam's girlfriend, also weighed in, with a slightly more diplomatic stance: 'Ryan had been wound up by Alex [Mytton] beforehand. He was very defensive but he's not normally that possessive at all. It didn't help that he'd been wound up first.'

While this had all gone down, Sam and Tiff were in fact in Mauritius with some of the rest of the cast, not particularly having a good time.

And Tiff was not pleased that she'd missed the party back home.

'I was LIVID we missed the gender reveal party. We landed that morning but couldn't be there in time. I actually thought they were having a boy, I admit.'

The purpose of the event was for everyone to guess the sex of the child, which in fact will be a girl, and then announce the gender.

Sam was less fussed about missing it.

'I adore JP and Binky but going to that party or being in the sun, on the sand and playing golf - I know where I'd rather be!'

Made In Chelsea continues on Monday at 9PM on E4.
