Two nail bombs have ripped through train carriages killing at least ten and injuring 50 in the Russian city of St Petersburg this morning. Explosive devices packed full of shrapnel were detonated on a train between the Sennaya Ploshchad and Sadovaya stations. Pictures from the scene show casualties covered in blood and lying on the ground (left and right) next to the mangled remains of a train door. Footage also shows people fleeing from the scene and thick smoke coming from a station (bottom right). Some of the casualties are understood to be children. Russian President Vladimir Putin (bottom left) was in the city for talks with his Belarusian counterpart and said investigators are looking into a possible terror attack and other theories for the blast.

The man who owns the property has been charged with murder after opening fire on Rosa in the bathroom. The man owns two pieces of property next door to each other. He lives in one house and runs an internet-based business next door, which is where he found the intruder. Police said the man confronted Rosa in the shower before going home to get his gun. They said the man had time to call 911 before the shooting, and they don't believe he warned Rosa that he had a gun.

Heartwarming footage of two teams of French bulldogs playing football against each other has gone viral after a campaign to raise awareness for disabled dogs was released. The promotional video features a mock fixture where the adorable mutts run excitedly around the pitch chasing a football. The video was released ahead of the annual Prague derby between AC Sparta Prague and SK Slavia Prague - in cooperation with FRBUL (French Bulldog), a Czech organisation that shelters French Bulldogs with disabilities.

Dribbling with a ball at speed, these football-playing robots have clearly mastered some impressive techniques. Ahead of the 2017 RoboCup in Japan this July, humanoid robots from around the world are currently in warm-up mode. Photographs taken in the east Chinese city of Rizhao, show some of the country's top athletic androids in action with dozens of spectators out to watch.

Horrific moment a socccer player violently knees a referee in the HEAD and breaks his nose after he was sent off for attacking another player in an amateur match in Portugal

Horrific footage captures the moment an amateur Portuguese footballer viciously assaulted a referee - kneeing him in the face breaking his nose. Marco Goncalves was arrested for assault. The sickening incident happened early into an amateur match in Portugal between Porto league sides Canelas 2010 and Rio Tinto. Police rushed onto the pitch to take Goncalves away and he was later arrested and told he would have to face trial. The match, which had just started, was suspended as a result of the violence after two minutes.

A spokesman for the airport in Kathmandu said wildlife and security officers were searching for the animal, believed to be hiding in the drains, after it was spotted by a pilot.

A turkey twizzler! Hilarious video shows bird spinning around until it falls over from dizziness 

Two turkeys were filmed when they decided to play a game and run around each other. One grows too dizzy and comically falls over. The clip is believed to have been filmed in the United States. The awkward runaround seems to be a form of the traditional mating ritual for turkeys, as they are known to strut, plump out feathers and stretch out their wings.
