Tyra Banks is offloading her mansion-size duplex in Battery Park City, New York.

The 43-year-old TV personality - who also homes in Los Angeles and Northern California - has put the duplex on the market for $17.5 million with the option to rent it furnished for $50,000 a month.

The property boasts views of the Hudson River and is a spacious 7,000 sq ft, comprising of four units spanning the 22nd and 23rd floors of the 31-story Riverhouse.

Tyra bought the units in 2009 for $10.13 million and used it as her primary residence for four years.

It has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and three powder rooms, along with several kitchens and kitchenettes. 

The duplex also features a dressing room and hair salon, a personal gym and separate staff and guest quarters.

Tyra's been leasing out the property since May 2015 while she spends much of her time on the west coast. 

The model - who is the new co-host of America's Got Talent - told New York Times that she would rather sell the home than keep renting it out but admitted she 'will miss the feeling of having a home in the sky.'

The lower level contains the gym, mirrored dressing room, salon and laundry area.

The second level includes the huge master suite with dual master bathrooms and dressing rooms as well as a large marble soaking tub encased in white oak. 

When she first bought it Tyra said she wanted to make it feel like a single-family home with a Hamptons feel or a like Los Angeles estate, rather than an apartment.

During renovations the layout was arranged to provide lots of privacy for family, guests and staff with the ability to close-off various wings from the rest of the unit.

For the interior design Tyra said she mixed textured wall coverings with rich fabrics, exotic wood details and ornate light fixtures.

She also decorated one dining alcove to resemble 'a booth at a Michelin-starred restaurant.'

'New amazing ideas just kept coming and coming to me,' she said of the upgrades. 

The duplex is being listed by Adam D. Modlin of the Modlin Group.

'She created different spaces,' Mr. Modlin told New York Times, 'so you can have different things going on in the home.'

The eco-friendly building has a 24-hour concierge, valet parking, a yoga studio and fitness center, as well as a saltwater lap pool.

Tyra became a mother for the first time with her photographer boyfriend, Erik Asla, last year.

They welcomed a son, York Banks-Asla, on January 27 2016 via surrogacy.

It was announced on March 12 that Tyra would be stepping into Nick Cannon's role as host of America's Got Talent after he sensationally quit the show following a clash with producers.
