'A little bit of wee came out!' Joe Pasquale winces in pain as he gets his nippled pierced during Bradley Walsh's debut as Nightly Show host

His career as a comedian and appearances on such shows as I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and Dancing On Ice have already proven that he's game for a laugh.

But Joe Pasquale pushed his limits even further for the sake of entertainment on Monday, when he got his nipple pierced on ITV's The Nightly Show during Bradley Walsh's inaugural episode as host.

The 55-year-old funnyman was seen wincing in pain as a piercing specialist by the name of Magda shoved a sliver of metal into his nipple - and his new body decoration came complete with a dangling snapshot of Michael Bolton.

Ahead of getting the rapid procedure done, Joe told Bradley: 'Tonight, I’m getting my nipple pierced.'

He then turned to the woman tasked with the operation and cautiously asked: 'Is this going to hurt, Magda?'

Joe, 55, then raised laughs as he said: 'Hopefully this will boost your viewing figures, Bradley. Hopefully. I hope so, love.'

Soon after nervously he nervously how long it would take, things kicked off - leaving him wincing in pain as he admitted: 'A little bit of wee came out there.'

Things were over in seconds, and the Essex native was soon in the studio showing off his piercing, lifting his top to also show off drawn-on abs - much to the amusement of host Bradley.

The host of The Chase, 56, is on course for quite the exciting week as, as well as helming The Nightly Show, he has also announced plans to release a second album.

His first release, Chasing Dreams, sold more than 100,000, boosting him to the top spot as Britain's biggest-selling debut artist of 2016 - beating the likes of Zayn Malik.

And for his second outing, set to be released in autumn of this year, he plans to involve his fans by having them select one of the songs he'll perform on his album.

The lucky fan whose track suggestion is chosen from PickASongForBradley.com will also win the opportunity to watch him record the album in the studio.

'I was absolutely thrilled at the response of the first album,' said Bradley in a statement.

'It was so much fun to work on I had to have another go at a second and the thought of having fans help choose tracks means that, in a way, they get to work on it too which is brilliant!'

The Nightly Show continues on Tuesday night at 10pm on ITV.
