'It means the world to me': Miranda Lambert wins Female Vocalist and Best Album at CMAs for her songs about divorce from Blake Shelton

It may have been one of the hardest things in her life but Miranda Lambert's breakup from Blake Shelton garnered her two Country Music Awards.

The singer and songwriter poured her personal heartbreak into her album The Weight Of These Wings and on Sunday night it was named Album Of The Year.

The 33-year-old went on to be named Female Vocalist Of The Year as well at the awards show held in Las Vegas.

'It means the world to me,' she told the crowd. 'I'm just glad to see females kicking a** today and I'm proud of that.'

Lambert, who beat out female vocalists Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves and Carrie Underwood, took to the stage solo during the show to perform Tin Man.

She wore a long-sleeved dress with long fringed sleeves and accompanied herself on the guitar.

The star received a standing ovation from the audience after her soulful rendition about how the Wizard Of Oz character doesn't need a heart because having it broken hurts so much.

She and Shelton divorced in 2015 after four years of marriage.

Country star Bryan and Dierks Bentley hosted the awards show live from the T-Mobile Arena for the second year in a row.

In a surprise appearance, the two were joined on stage by Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh to perform Johnny B. Goode as a tribute to the late rock and roll pioneer Chuck Berry.

'For the man that influenced every form of music, including country,' said Bryan of Berry, who died last month.

In their opening, the pair joked about doing Vegas activities leading up to the awards show, even showing photos of them dressed as stripper-cowboys.
