John Legend reveals he enjoys making fried chicken at home with wife Chrissy Teigen to relax... and says she tells him off for spending too much time on his phone

They often fill their respective social media pages with loved-up snaps.

And now John Legend has opened up about life at home with model wife Chrissy Teigen in an interview in this month's Cosmopolitan - revealing that she 'tells him off' for looking at his phone too much. 

The 38-year-old singer also said they enjoy cooking at home together - with fried chicken being his specialty - as well as 'Netflix and chill.'

The Ordinary People hitmaker told the magazine: 'Chrissy and I cook to relax. I’m very good at making fried chicken, macaroni cheese, omlettes and pancakes.

'Then we just hang out and watch TV. Netflix and chill, as they say.' 

He also said he and Chrissy, 31, bicker about 'normal things', adding: 'I look at my phone too much… Twitter, Instagram, texting. She occasionally tells me off for that.'

Speaking about life before marriage, John described how he used to use music to get the attention of girls while he was at high school.

He said: 'I used to write gospel songs for girls I was trying to hit on. 'Sometimes it works, but not all the time.'

The couple got married in a romantic ceremony in Como, Italy, in 2013, after meeting on the set of John's music video Stereo in 2007.

They welcomed daughter Luna in to the world last year and are set to celebrate her first birthday on April 14.

The family-of-three recently enjoyed a holiday in Morocco together, with both John and Chrissy filling Instagram with a series of sun-soaked snaps. 

Oscar winner John has been in London promoting his new single Sure Fire, as well as his European tour this Autumn.

He surprised passengers at London St Pancras last week with an impromptu show on one of the station's street pianos.
