The morning after: Alec and Hilaria Baldwin dress down with son Rafael out in NYC... one day after glam red carpet appearance

Just the night prior, they wowed on the red carpet at a gala event for the NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

But on Tuesday morning, it was clear that comfort was top priority as Alec and Hilaria Baldwin strolled through New York City with their son Rafael, the same day Alec's memoir Nevertheless hit book stores.

In an attempt to dodge the NYC rain, the 33-year-old yoga instructor wore an oversize blue jacket and sunglasses as she held on to her tot.

The big coat was accompanied by every busy mom's favorite comfort clothes, sweatpants and Ugg boots.

The look was a rare departure for Hilaria, who can usually make even working out look glamorous.

Alec wore all black and held an umbrella during the on-and-off showers in the city.

They have three children together, three-year-old Carmen, one-year old Rafael, and Leonardo Angel Charles, aged six months.

It is unclear where their other two children were as they took the stroll with their middle child.

Alec's second book Nevertheless was released Tuesday and details his 30 years of sobriety.

He recently opened up to ABC News about having a drug overdose in his 20's

'I know that at that time, what I describe — overdosing on drugs — which I've kept very private for years and years. But, I'm glad I got it when I did because not many people get sober when they're young.'

The Baldwins brought Carmen and Rafael along to the movie's premiere on March 20.
