'I am proud to be a Muslim': Bella Hadid flaunts her incredible figure in a monochrome swimsuit and sheer gown as she discusses religion and her upbringing in candid interview

She stormed the fashion week runways in an array of intricate looks.

But Bella Hadid opted for a much more stripped-down look for her latest photoshoot.

The American model, 20, went make-up free for her 'laid bare' themed shoot and interview, making the most of enviable bone structure and model physique, before opening up about her strong values and background.

Showcasing her long lean legs in a high-cut monochrome swimsuit which flaunted her petite curves perfectly, she piled her foamy hair onto her head, pulling a jokey pout for the PORTER photoshoot.

And despite going make-up free, the model's flawless complexion and bright green eyes still shone through, cementing her credentials for the job.

And another ethereal shot saw Bella floating through a pool with a translucent gown spread around her, her porcelain skin catching the sun with her raven hair floating delicately behind her.

In keeping with the 'laid bare' theme, Bella opened up when it came to discussing her background, as she discussed how being the child of the refugee has helped shape her values.

Speaking up against Trump's controversial immigration ban, the beauty told how her self-made millionaire father originally travelled over from Palestine with nothing.

'My dad was a refugee when he first came to America, so it's actually very close to home for my sister and brother and me,' she explained. 'He was always religious, and he always prayed with us. I am proud to be a Muslim.'

The half Dutch, half Palestinian beauty- who split from ex-boyfriend The Weeknd late last year, revealed she's not in a rush to get into another relationship.

'I'm just really focusing on myself, and my work, and just being the best that I can be. I'm not really worried about what guys think about me, I'm just trying to be a woman!'

And while some may revel in the attention, Bella prefers a quieter life, admitting: 'It gets really overwhelming. You feel really overexposed and you don't want to see anybody... I just want to be in my apartment alone and kind of retreat and be centered again.'

The family-oriented star, whose supermodel sister Gigi paved the way for their careers on the runway, also revealed that there's no sibling rivalry,

'People think we're the same and that we've been working just as long, but I'm two years behind her. I still have a long time to catch up!'
