Bethenny Frankel had a television commitment in the morning.

But that didn't stop her from mommy duty in the afternoon.

The 46-year-old star was a sight to see in a bright red coat as she enjoyed the busy day in New York City on Wednesday.

The crimson-colored piece of outerwear performed double duty as she wore it for a Today Show appearance before bonding with six-year-old daughter Bryn Hoppy.

During her appearance on the morning chat/news programme she paired the long jacket with a chic black and white patterned mini dress and black leather heels.

Her medium-length brunette tresses were worn down as she let her natural looks show with complimentary make-up including a swipe of pink lip.

Bethenny has been busy promoting the premiere of upcoming season 9 of The Real Housewives Of New York but she certainly hasn't forgotten about her parenting duties.

Later on in the day, she changed up the rest of her look other than the red coat as she picked up her only child from school.

Earlier in the day a drama-filled trailer for the RHONY reunion show was released which was very tense.

She told E! News on Wednesday: 'This season is an emotional roller coaster. It feels like we're in some messed up therapy session, like, with an unlicensed therapist. It's a roller coaster ride and some people do go off the rails.

'It's really funny though. We have a really interesting type of dynamic. I mean, we have one married Housewife, and it almost didn't happen. We have one married Housewife who, six out of seven Housewives weren't at the wedding.'

Season 9 of The Real Housewives Of New York premieres Tuesday, April 11 at 9pm on Bravo.
