'I can't wait to show my daughter My Best Friend's Wedding': Julia Roberts, 49, hopes her kids are 'proud' of what she did in her '20s and 30s' 

Julia Roberts has been laying low the last few years as she raises the three children she has with cinematographer Danny Moder.

But that is just how the 49-year-old Oscar winner likes it.

While talking to Michael Strahan on Good Morning America on Wednesday, the star said that she prefers to spend time with her family over late nights on the town.

'I love being able to go to bed at 8:30 at night,' the beauty said with a laugh.

And she said that being a parent is the best thing that ever happened to her.

'I love it all, I mean I love it when it's easy and I love it when it's challenging,' added the Pretty Woman star.

'I do love it all. You're allowed to not only to love the weekends but also Christmas and summer vacation in a new way.

'It's such a great learning experience. They're such great teachers. Their point of view is so unique.'

And she is excited for them to see her library of film work, but only when they are older.

'In a few years,' she says of letting the kids see Pretty Woman, The Pelican Brief, Stepmom and Runaway Bride.

'There are some I am looking forward to showing my daughter. I can't wait for her to see My Best Friend's Wedding. That'll be sweet and I think they will be pleased with how I spent my 20s and 30s.'

She especially looks at gender equality.
