Gotta keep the Faith! Eliza Dushku says she wasn't invited to the Buffy The Vampire Slayer reunion... despite starring in five seasons

It's hard to believe, but Buffy The Vampire Slayer just celebrated its 20th anniversary - but one person who wasn't at the reunion party was Eliza Dushku.

Fans of the cult series were left furious after discovering the actress - who played Faith on the show from 1998 until 2003 - didn't even get an invite.

Entertainment Weekly reunited key cast members, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Boreanaz, Alyson Hannigan and Michelle Trachtenberg, but Eliza was nowhere to be seen.

Not that she seemed to mind.

The 36-year-old took to Twitter to try and calm her fans, explaining she was never a full-time cast member.

'Your [hearts] will go on..!' she tweeted on March 29. 'Faith/I will [sic] never a series regular cast member of btvs, sweeties=no invite. Cute n special reunion tho #ScoobyGang.'

Sarah Michelle - who played the title role in the hit series - was asked about Eliza's absence during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Tuesday.

Seemingly fine: 'Your [hearts] will go on..!' Eliza tweeted, explaining her absence from the reunion. 'Faith/I will [sic] never a series regular cast member of btvs, sweeties=no invite. Cute n special reunion tho #ScoobyGang.'

The 39-year-old actress answered rather awkwardly, claiming she had no idea why her former co-star wasn't invited.

'I don’t know about Eliza,' she said. 'I didn’t control - I think there was just so many people, it was hard enough.'

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly last month, Sarah Michelle said Buffy is possibly the role she is most proud of.

'I’m so incredibly proud of what we all created,' she said. 'Sometimes you need distance to really understand the gravitas of that. I appreciate everything about that job. As an actor, all you ever want to do is leave your mark - you want to do something that affects people.'
