  • Princess Beatrice, 28, was spotted taking a stroll in New York this morning

She has been rubbing shoulders with VIP friends while between flitting a string of high-profile events in New York in recent weeks.

But Princess Beatrice opted for a decidedly low-key look when she went for a stroll in the Big Apple this morning.

The 28-year-old royal wore a casual puffer jacket thrown over a navy jumper and flared skirt with black tights as she ran her morning errands, clutching an iPhone and a cup of coffee.

Beatrice, who is seventh in line to the throne, completed her off-duty ensemble with a pair of gold-capped white trainers.

The Duke of York's eldest daughter, who split from long-term boyfriend Dave Clark last summer, looked somewhat downcast as she ran a series of errands in the city.

She was last pictured partying with hotel heiress Alessandra Balazs at a glittering society ball last month.

Around 500 well-heeled guests turned out to celebrate, enjoy cocktails and eat hors d’oeuvres at the Frick Collection Young Fellows Ball: Turner by Moonlight.

Beatrice, who is currently patron of nine charities including the York Musical Society and the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre, is said to be in the process of developing a business start-up since leaving her job at a Manhattan investment firm last summer.
