'I'm gonna make him proud again!' Slimmed down James Argent gushes about 'supportive' dad who visits him at Thai rehab as he continues weight loss mission

He's on mission to transform himself physically and mentally at an upscale Thai rehab.

And James 'Arg' Argent, who has so far lost more than a stone at the retreat, couldn't contain his excitement as his dad flew thousands of miles from Essex to pay him a supporting visit.

The TOWIE star, 29, took to Instagram with a snap of him alongside his old man, which he gushingly captioned: 'A flying visit from my old man, I'm so lucky & grateful he came all this way to support me!

Continuing with his lengthy title, James continued: 'It means so much, I'm gonna make him proud again! I felt guilty having to whoop his ass at Tennis lol #Family x.'

The sweet snap sees James, who sports a much for slimmed down face, angling up a camera to include his dad, who is decked out in a purple top.

James jetted into the Thai rehab in February and judging by his Instagram, the star is having a fantastic time on his weight loss mission.

Recently, he uploaded another snap of himself tucking into a huge plate of Mango and Sticky rice to celebrate his weight-loss so far.

The TV personality posed smiling with the foreign delicacy as he showed off his trimmer physique.

He posted the picture, saying: 'Mango & Sticky Rice is...EVERYTHING!!!

'Just under half way to my goal which deserves a little treat lol #amazingtimes #amazingthailand.'

The star sported a baggy burgundy T-shirt and grey jogging bottoms as he posed for the cheeky picture.

He also showed off his tanned and toned torso as he posed in the spacious swimming pool, the reality star beamed from ear to ear.

And proving his fitness regime didn't end there, he posted another snap as he played basketball in a blue fitted ensemble.

'Swimming, Tennis & Basketball in Paradise!!! #lucky #grateful', Arg wrote alongside the snap.

Arg's close friend Jack Tweed recently told New magazine: 'Arg is really loving it out there. He said he's been doing loads of stuff like Muay Thai boxing, jungle trekking, abseiling down waterfalls and zip lining.

'He's been eating really healthy food and he's lost over a stone. Arg is in a really good place at the moment and I hope he keeps it up, for his sake and his family's sake.'

The ITVBe favourite has been missing from filming the newest series - which premiere's on March 5 - but show bosses are keen to have him back once he gets back on his feet.

The star, who previously spent time in The Priory in 2015 for alleged drink and drugs abuse, reportedly made the decision over the Christmas period that he wanted to be in a 'stronger position' mentally before he returns.
