Paul Weller is to become a father for the eighth time.

The 58-year-old musician's second wife Hannah Andrews, 31, is expecting the couple's third child due this summer.

A statement on Paul's official website read: 'Paul and Hannah are delighted to confirm the wonderful news that they are expecting their third child together.

'Hannah and baby are doing great and the whole family are looking forward to meeting the littlest Weller in the summer.'

Paul and Hannah - who originally worked as a backing singer on his seminal 22 Dreams album - married on the Italian island of Capri in 2010.

The couple already have twin sons Bowie and John Paul, who were born in 2012 and respectively named after late Life on Mars hitmaker David Bowie and The Beatles stars John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

The couple started seeing one another in 2008, after Paul split from his partner of 13 years Samantha Stock, with whom he has 17-year-old daughter Jesamine and 12-year-old son Stevie Mac.

Paul is also a father to 29-year-old daughter Leah and 26-year-old son Nathanial with his first wife, singer Dee C. Lee.

The couple performed together in The Style Council, Paul's second band, before marrying in 1988.

Paul would eventually disband The Style Council in 1989 before launching a hugely successful solo career; his marriage to Lee ended in 1994.

The singer also has a 21-year-old son called Dylan - named after the music legend Bob Dylan - from a relationship he had with a make-up stylist only known by the name of Lucy.

Talking to The Mirror in 2012, Paul opened up about being a father, as well as his decision to have children in his '50's.

‘You get certain people who go “Ooh, seven children with four women” and all that,’ he said. ‘But I don’t care, man. I love all my kids. They’re all special and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

‘I don’t mean that in a morbid way but, because of the age difference between me and my wife, I really want to leave part of me with her, so there’s that as well.’
