'Her fiancé is projecting his penis': Bethenny Frankel delivers low blow to co-star Luann de Lesseps on WWHL
Bethenny Frankel delivered a harsh low blow Wednesday in her ongoing feud with her The Real Housewives Of New York City co-star Luann de Lesseps.
The 46-year-old reality star while on Watch What Happens Live was reminded of Luann appearing on TV this week and accusing her of 'projecting her own failed marriage' on her by constantly claiming Luann's now-husband Tom D'Agostino Jr was cheating.
Bethenny shot back: 'Poor Luann, her fiancé's projecting his penis onto other housewives.'
Good one: Bethenny Frankel took a shot at Luann de Lesseps during an appearance Wednesday on Watch What Happens Live
She smiled as her comment sparked shocked gasps in the audience, with host Andy Cohen laughed nervously and fellow guest Jeff Lewis gave an uncomfortable grimace.
'If you're gonna take a shot, you better take a shot,' Bethenny said.
But she appeared to have a change of heart and came back after an ad break with a completely different take on her co-star.
'I like Luann,' she insisted. 'Literally every time we take two steps forward, we take several steps back. It already happened now this past week in promoting the show.
Season premiere: Luann, shown during the season premiere Wednesday of RHONY, said Bethenny was projecting her failed marriage while promoting the show
'I am genuinely happy for Luann and Tom, she is actually really happy and she's a grown woman who makes her own decisions.
'And the truth is I like seeing her happy, and it's their business whatever page they're on.
'I don't know anything about their relationship, and I shouldn't. It's not my business and we're not best friends but I'm happy for her, genuinely,' Bethenny said.
Back track: Bethenny later said that she was genuinely happy for Luann and husband Tom D'Agostino Jr
When Jeff insisted she 'did the right thing, absolutely' and 'was being a good friend' when she showed Luann a photo of Tom kissing another woman, Bethenny insisted that her own doomed marriage to Jason Hoppy had confused her about 'what relationships are supposed to be.'
'You're projecting a lot of stuff,' Jeff quipped, referring to Luann's comments that so infuriated her.
But Bethenny insisted: 'I don't know how much I believe in the traditional relationship anymore, and they got through it and here they are and happily ever after.'
Right thing: Fellow guest Jeff Lewis told Bethenny she did the right thing by Luann
'Yeah, God bless them they got through it,' Jeff agreed.
Andy then showed a teaser for next week's RHONY episode where Sonja Morgan and Luann fight, with Luann saying on camera: 'I think Sonja would like to be with Tom and that didn't happen. Maybe Sonja feels like she missed the yacht.'
After saying that 'Luann is always walking on hot coals trying to get to the cool side,' Bethenny then admitted that with all the evidence seeming to show Tom was cheating 'we were all like, 'Are we being Punk'd, are we really doing this thing?'
The host: Andy Cohen welcomed the Bravo stars into the clubhouse
Watch What Happens Live viewers also seemed to agree — with a poll showing 97 percent believed Tom has cheated.
When they discussed whether Luann should have invited the other housewives to the wedding -- with the latest episode showing she only invited Dorinda Medley -- Bethenny looked horrified and said she 'would be caned' if she had gone.
But Jeff joked: 'The person who almost broke up the wedding should absolutely be there.'
Not invited: Bethenny was not invited to Luann's wedding but Jeff joked she should have been
Bethenny also admitted she was shocked at seeing friend Carole Radziwill's new short haircut, complaining: 'It's similar to mine. I'm getting a wig!'
'Oh my God, they sleep with the same men, they go to the same hair people, the facials,' Andy joked.
But Bethenny's sharp-tongue was unusually quiet when a caller asked about 'Ramona's new face' saying: 'It's obvious something has been done.'
Unusually quiet: A caller asked Bethenny about Ramona Singer's 'new face' and she passed on it
'That's for you, sunshine,' Bethenny said to Andy, who replied: 'I'm not stepping into that!'
'I know that she's looked different throughout the season,' Bethenny finally said, adding: 'I'm in it — and she's in mine, a lot, this season.'
Jeff, meanwhile, guessed the changing look was down to 'fillers and Botox.'
Good guess: Jeff guessed the changes were due to 'fillers and Botox'
Despite the feuding, Bethenny insisted the new season of their show is 'really funny,' adding: 'Tumultuous, funny, and sort of like a therapy session. Very, very funny.'
She also agreed that she would love to appear on the Atlanta housewives show after a clip was shown of a furious war of words between Kenya Moore and former cast member Kim Zolciak in a guest appearance.
'I just wanna see if I could hang,' she said.
