The Real Housewives has spawned dozens of spin-off US shows, as well as countless international versions since its debut in 2009.

And Kyle Richards is adamant that the Beverly Hills installment is the best in the franchise, stopping by ITV show Lorraine on Thursday morning to discuss the long-running show.

Sharing her thoughts on its longevity, the American TV personality said: 'I thought I was doing a little show, just a couple of months and it's been seven years! It has changed a lot, we've grown as people, relationships have evolved.

'People love it because there's drama and craziness, and they also watch for the lifestyle, clothing, travelling and lavish homes.'

The 48-year-old star also touched upon her sister Kim's struggle following the death of her ex-husband Monty Brinson from cancer last year.

She said: 'Originally they thought Beverly Hills would be the most over the top and phony, but we have real life problems - Taylor [Armstrong] and the abuse, my sister [Kim]. She is in a good place now.'

Kyle recently spoke out about the Season 7 reunion episode of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills where the reality show personalities sat down with Andy Cohen.

The reality star told US Weekly: 'It was a very bizarre reunion. I don't think I've used the word before.'

She added: 'There was screaming, there was crying, there was a walk-off. It was so intense at times.
