Lara Trump may be in her second trimester of pregnancy, but she has no problem doing the heavy lifting on her own.

President Donald Trump's 33-year-old daughter-in-law was photographed struggling with her $4,000 Louis Vuitton suitcase as she left her New York City home on Wednesday.

And while she was flanked by two Secret Service agents, they looked on as she rolled her suitcase over the curb and headed towards the vehicle that was waiting for her.

Look lovely in loafers like Lara's by Nicholas Kirkwood

That's the spirit Lara! This Trumpette makes pregnancy look chic with her Louis Vuitton luggage, and figure flattering monochromatic black look that she polished off with some snazzy Nicholas Kirkwood loafers.

Every girl needs to give their tooties a rest from the high-pitched stilettos and these gold-heeled beauties are just the trick to put your fashionista mark on any outfit.

The black leather flats became the anchor piece to Lara's ensemble and we love how they slot easily into any smart/casual appearance, making them one of the most hard-working flats on your shoe-shelf.

Pair them with everything from skinny jeans, culottes, skirts and dresses. You can never go wrong with a set of classic loafers, and this style by Kirkwood seems to be a celebrity favorite.

So why don't you treat your feet to something sweet by clicking right to snap up a pair for yourself. Or take a look at some of the bargain pieces we've rounded up below.

The chic New Yorker donned an A-line black dress and a black wool coat for her flight to Washington, D.C., and she accessorized her look with pointed-toe flats.

When she arrived, Lara ditched her flats and put on a pair of sky-high red heels for her visit at the White House.

Lara and Eric posed for a photo at the White House together on Wednesday, although it is unclear if they attended President Trump's joint press conference with King Abdullah II of Jordan.

The expectant mom shared the snapshot on Instagram, using three flower emoji in honor of the red and yellow tulips they were posed in front of.

It has been a busy few days for the animal rights activist who appeared on the Fox Business program, Mornings with Maria, with her husband Eric and their two dogs, Charlie and Ben, before they jetted off to D.C.

Lara wore the same black dress and red heels for the television appearance, and she admitted on the live show that she is not only hoping to see a First Dog in the White House, she wants her father-in-law to follow her lead and adopt a rescue.

'I am working on it as hard as I can!' she said. 'I think they probably will. We've got to find the right fit, but I think they will.'

Eric and Lara recently fostered — and ultimately adopted — their dog Ben, who was so sick when he first came into a shelter that he had to stay at the vet hospital for a month.

Unsurprisingly, Lara, who does a lot with animal rescue, said she would 'love' if the president adopted a dog in need.

Eric noted that Vice President Mike Pence is also 'big dog person', and Lara revealed they have chatted about her helping his family get a rescue dog of their own.

Lara, who is currently working on Trump's 2020 campaign, went on to add that if she and Eric managed to find a way to make the arrangement work, other people can too.

'If we can do it — fostering and adopting a dog with a lot of medical issues at the time, in the middle of a presidential campaign — anyone can do it.'

Eric joked that their pooch Charlie, whom they've had for almost seven years, is like their 'first son'.

'As if we don't have enough boys, we are going to have another one,' Lara said of their baby boy, who is due in September. 'It is really exciting. I feel great. I am feeling really good.'

On Sunday, Lara traveled to Houston, Texas, as the keynote speaker at the Sky High Ladies Who Brunch event that was held at Hughes Manor.

The mom-to-be showed off her tiny baby bump in a bold yellow dress while attending the charity fashion presentation and brunch, in which proceeds benefited St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Ronald McDonald House of Memphis Texas Children's Cancer Center.
