Lashing out? Claims Russell Crowe has been partying too hard after hearing Danielle Spencer has moved on with a new man... and may also be behind his alleged altercation with Azealia Banks
His ex-wife recently moved on with another man.
And it appears Russell Crowe isn't thrilled about Danielle Spencer's romance with cartoonist Adam Long, with a magazine claiming the actor is overcompensating with heavy partying.
According to Woman's Day, friends close to the 52-year-old fear his ex moving on with someone else might have led to his alleged altercation with rapper Azealia Banks at his Beverly Hills party earlier this month.

On October 15, Russell allegedly became embroiled in a fight with Azealia, who was a guest attending his party at the Beverly Hills Hotel, after she didn't respond to his advances.
The 28-year-old had claimed Russell 'called me a n****r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me' during the incident, and filed a battery report that night.
According to Azealia: 'Russell had moonshine on the table, and then Russell calls for whisky, so then they just start mixing them up.
Drama: Russell has had a rough couple of weeks, with the 52-year-old embroiled in an alleged fight with rapper Azealia Banks (pictured) at a party in Beverly Hills earlier this month
'You know, moonshine, whisky, vodka, and smoking cigarettes and smoking weed.'
Things turned sour when the actor allegedly got physical and hurled racial slurs at her.
But all witness accounts claim the rapper was the aggressor, Russell didn’t use the 'N' word and he justifiably removed her after she was allegedly threatening to slash guests with a broken wine glass.
Allegations: According to the rapper's claims, Russell had been mixing 'moonshine, whisky, vodka' and 'weed' at the party before becoming physical towards her
Azealia recently revealed to Us Weekly that she's no longer pressing charges.
However, the 212 rapper said she could sue the Gladiator star if he doesn't apologise to her.
'[Russell] feels that he did nothing wrong, so I'm just like, OK, if you want to pay a bunch of litigators and a bunch of people to apologise to me, then I guess that’s what you want to do,' she told the magazine.
What went wrong? But all witnesses' accounts have claimed that Azealia was the aggressor in the incident that forced Russell to have her thrown out
'You could apologise to me for free now and make this all go away.'
The incident comes after Russell's ex-wife and the mother of his children, Danielle, 47, made her public debut with new boyfriend Adam.
The singer appeared loved-up as she walked the red carpet with her beau at the Dream Lover premiere in Sydney earlier this month.
Moved on: Meanwhile, the incident comes just after Russell's estranged wife Danielle made her first public appearance with writer Adam in Sydney
Stepping in: According to Woman's Day, Russell has become 'jealous' of Adam's involvement in his son's lives (pictured here with Danielle and sons, Charlie and Tennyson in 2010)
And writer Adam has been spending time with Russell's estranged wife as well as his sons, Charles, 12, and Tennyson, 10.
Adam's involvement in the boys' lives has sparked jealousy in the Nice Guys actor.
'The thought that someone else is spending more time with them than he is – and is slotting into life with his entire family – anyone would feel jealous,' a source told Woman's Day.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Russell's representatives for comment.
Civil: The pair married in 2003 and separated in 2012, and have been 'determined' to stay on good terms for their kids' sake
'It's never easy to watch someone move on and be happy with someone else, but everyone knows Russell has and will always love Danielle.'
Russell and the blonde beauty had been dating on and off since 1989, eventually tying the knot in 2003.
The couple separated in 2012 and have been 'determined' to stay on good terms for their children's sake.
