WHAT: More than 300 ceramic butterfly lawn ornaments, hand-glazed by
Area youth participating in Happen, Inc. Arts Sessions will be on display to celebrate the culmination of The Butterfly Project, a program of the Jon E. Mendelsohn Foundation. Hundreds of area children will be participating in art-related projects, and a giant wooden birthday cake will be revealed to celebrate
Dr. Mendelsohn’s birthday. There will also be plenty of cupcakes
WHY: The Butterfly Project raises money to provide arts-educational
opportunities for children-in-need. Proceeds from the sale of the ceramic butterfly lawn ornaments will support Happen, Inc. and other area non-profit organizations.
