It's a family affair! Jo Wood enjoys a night out with her son, daughter and grandchildren as she celebrates fragrance launch

She was one half of one of the British rock scene's most glamorous couples, until her marriage to Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood came to an abrupt end in 2011.

But Jo Wood showed she's still very much a welcome face on the English capital's social circuit on Wednesday night, when well-heeled guests flocked to the launch of her Jo Wood Organics fragrance line.

The 62-year-old former model made the gathering at the city's posh Fortnum & Mason quite the family affair, as she was joined by her son and daughter Jamie and Leah, as well as their own children.

Blonde beauty Jo looked typically glamorous for the occasion, arriving in a form-fitting black dress featuring a Bardot neckline, which she teamed with matching tights and wedge heels.

She lit up her chic ensemble with the addition of dangling gold earrings, a pair of delicate pendants, a dazzling watch and a glittering diamond ring.

Her golden tresses were styled in a glamorous half updo, while her makeup palette featured a range of natural tones, only lighting enhancing her natural beauty.

Later in the evening, she kept the party going as she made her way to the Piano Bar Soho to attend Keep Live Music Alive In Soho with her boyfriend Paul Scarborough.

In a January interview with the Daily Mail, Jo had opened up about her decision to embrace a more organic lifestyle, after experiencing stomach pains in 1989 and subsequently being misdiagnosed with Crohn's disease.

She said: 'Eventually, I was told about a herbalist in Hastings who said he could cure me. I went to see him and when I told him my diet, he practically fainted. It was all processed food full of toxins that would break down my immune system, he said.

'On his advice, I started growing my own food and cooking with herbs. I slowly weaned myself off the steroids. I even started taking rose hip tablets to deal with my creaking joints.

'When the Stones went on tour, I had a portable stove made that was shipped around the world with us so I could source local organic food and cook healthy meals.

'After three months, I felt absolutely fantastic. But then, out of nowhere, I got another stomach attack.

'I was rushed to hospital where they discovered I’d been walking around with a perforated appendix for two years. I’m sure I’d only survived because I’d cleaned out my system.

'It has made me stronger. I’m always surprised when I come across people who have good jobs, who are educated and who eat junk. I’ll be an organic girl for the rest of my life. The lesson I’ve learned is that we should listen to nature.'

She concluded: 'Put natural foodstuffs into your body and it won’t let you down. Nature always knows best.'
