However, the former Geordie Shore star later tweeted to her 165,000 followers that it was all just a ploy for publicity.

She wrote: 'Just to let everyone know the whole me and @jem_lucy relationship was a laugh since the papers started it we rode it and had the last laugh' followed by two money emojis.

Despite admitting it had all been a ploy, the pair have continued to put on a very cosy display on nights out, and often pictured scantily-clad and sharing a smooch.
