But Loose Women fans were left in stitches on Thursday as Coleen Nolan and Paddy McGuinness both made smutty references to genitalia on the lunchtime show.

Coleen, 52, left her panellists open-mouthed during the programme as she attempted to recreate a party trick she'd seen on Take Me Out with hilarious consequences.

After showing a clip of one of the Take Me Out contestants skinning a cucumber with her teeth, the mother-of-three decided to take on the challenge in an innuendo-filled segment.

Chowing down on the vegetable, Coleen surprised herself as she squealed: 'Oh I can do it!'

As Gino suggestively tasked her to 'try it sideways', Paddy announced: 'Is this on in the afternoon? Is this really happening right now?'

Unfazed, Coleen quipped 'I would come and peel your cucumbers any day', as Paddy suggested that Janet Street-Porter would be better equipped for the challenge.

The innuendos weren't over yet, however, as Paddy went on to compare his own genitals to another member of the vegetable family.

After the Loose Women had asked him to show off his new leg tattoo, Paddy explained: 'I can't show you my tattoo as I'd have to take my trousers off and I haven’t got any underwear on.'

As the audience cheered for him to whip them off anyway, he gestured to his groin as he quipped: 'You got excited about the cucumber but it's more of a parsnip!'
