She had been snapped frolicking happily on a Miami beach with her Little Mix co-stars just a day earlier. 

But when images of singer Perrie Edwards in a skimpy Calvin Klein bikini top and denim cut-offs emerged on Instagram on Friday, the blonde beauty appeared to be so upset she temporarily deleted her account. 

According to The Sun, the 23-year-old, who has six million followers on the social media platform, begged fans to delete the snaps before taking drastic action.

Later on Friday the singer's account was back online and a representative for Perrie declined to comment on the temporary deactivation to MailOnline.

But earlier on the singer, who is currently dating Arsenal man Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, removed all traces of herself from Instagram. 

The newspaper reported that the star engaged in a private conversation with one of her fans who posted the shots of the blonde beauty in denim cut-offs and a skimpy white top, writing in a message: 'Please delete and untag those pictures. Much Love.'

After fans complied, the star was quick to respond positively, reportedly sending three kiss emojis in the private conversation.

The Little Mix girls are living it up in Miami and it seems Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson have got their own ideas about what to wear to the beach.

The pop starlets have eschewed actual swimwear to rock their lingerie instead and while it's not a look we would have come up with ourselves, they do look pretty gorgeous. And this sporty style of underwear does lend itself to being taking out into the open.

The pictures of the girl band's beach getaways were first published on news websites late on Thursday night. 

The stunning blonde singer displayed her svelte figure in the images, belting her cut-offs to highlight her tiny waist, while protecting her fair skin from the sun with a baseball cap and large shades, and styling her locks in long plaits.

Adding a touch of poolside glamour to the ensemble, she finished off the look with a choker necklace and a pair of large hoops.

The star was seen taking a stroll on the beach with fellow band-mates Jesy and Leigh-Anne.

Leigh-Anne turned heads in a skimpy thong during the beach outing, making the most of her enviably peachy derriere.

While Jesy Nelson - fresh from her break-up with TOWIE's Chris Clark - appeared alternately engrossed in her phone and happy to be with her friends.

The brunette stunner flaunted her ample cleavage in a black bikini top as she strolled hand in hand with Perrie across the white sand.

Perrie had previously appeared to be enjoying her time in the States, despite being apart from footballer beau Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

She posted a video of herself performing a very sexy dance routine against a backing dancer on her Instagram page on Monday night, in which she wore a low-back bodysuit and spray on jeans. 

It comes as Little Mix fans went into meltdown on Wednesday amid rumours that Chris broke up with Jesy by phone, because their 'lives are too different for love.'

The 22-year-old was subjected to a barrage of insults on social media after fans accused the star of breaking Jesy's heart.

While a spokesperson for Chris declined to comment to MailOnline about the rumours, Jesy has deleted all trace of Chris on Instagram AND unfollowed him.

A source close to the couple told The Sun Online that Chris did not like how different Jesy's life was to his.

They said: 'Chris is a normal Essex lad, he's very private and low key. He likes spending time with his mum and mates and not being in the spotlight.

'Jesy's life is a world away from his. She's a superstar, travelling the world and living in the spotlight.'
