'Why are they trying to ruin it for me?': Danielle Lloyd hits back at Maria Fowler and Nicola McLean's 'vendetta' against her... after they accused her of staging her baby gender reveal

She had faced accusations from the TV personalities last week that said the revealing of her baby's gender on Loose Women was fake.

However Danielle Lloyd has hit back at Maria Fowler and Nicola McLean in her latest OK! column - and questioned why the pair want to 'ruin' the joyous time for her.

The 33-year-old explained she doesn't know why Maria and Nicola have such a 'vendetta' against her in the latest development of their war of words - before lashing out at the pair for their behaviour as mothers.

Danielle had appeared on Loose Women last week to reveal the sex of her baby live on TV.

Upon discovery the tot was to be her fourth son however, 30-year-old Maria took to Twitter to re-post a message from Danielle at her local hospital - insinuating she had discovered the gender before the show, which Nicola later supported.

However after slamming the claims last week, the former beauty queen has now lashed out at the girls in her magazine column - claiming they simply want to dampen the mood of her exciting pregnancy.

Talking of the reaction to her Loose Women appearance, she said: 'There were also some really negative comments, even from people like Nicola McLean and Maria Fowler. I feel like they’ve got some sort of vendetta against me. I don’t know why.'

Clearly disappointed in them for their behaviour as women with kids of their own, she continued: 'It’s obviously upsetting because this is such exciting news for me and Michael so why would another woman, especially one with children, try and ruin that for me?'

After discovering she was expecting another boy on the chat show, the brunette beauty went on to confess her three sons - Archie, six, Harry, five, and George, three - were disappointed they were not getting a little sister.

Admitting they shed a few tears over the news, she explained that the family were already thinking about another addition, in their quest for a daughter.

She said: 'The boys calmed down a bit once we told them that next time it could be a girl – I can’t believe I’m even thinking about another baby when I’m pregnant!'

Danielle had first spoken to MailOnline last week about the girls' harsh words - and expressed her belief that Maria and Nicola, 35, were guilty of waging a sustained personal campaign against herself and her fiance, Michael O'Neill.

She said: 'These women have had some sort of vendetta against me for a long time and it's horrible they are trying to spoil this special moment for me and Michael.'

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Danielle also insisted the attack reflects negatively on her critics, calling their perceived jealousy 'unhealthy'.

Addressing followers on the micro-blogging site, she wrote: 'It's very sad when girls are so obsessed with trying to bring me down it shows immaturity and jealously.. the obsession with me is unhealthy'.

Her comments came after former The Only way Is Essex star Maria retweeted a snap originally shared by  private pregnancy clinic Miracle In Progress on Friday, in which Danielle is pictured alongside a group of midwives.

Toasting the brunette and her fiance, an accompanying caption suggested the sex of her child had already been established.

'Congratulations to @MsDLloyd and Mark on the announcement of you both expecting a baby boy. Was a pleasure to scan him last week,' the clinic wrote, incorrectly naming Michael.

An unimpressed Maria, who gave birth to her baby daughter Evie Paris in September, commented: 'Ah so it's true you did the gender scan for her before the loose women one... I didn't think she looked surprised.'

When asked by a follower why Danielle might have pretended to be unaware of her unborn child's sex, she added: 'Money and attention maybe?'

Responding to the claims, the former model later found herself embroiled in a Twitter row with Celebrity Big Brother star Nicola McLean, 35, who kick started the argument by asking: 'what??? So the sex wasn't found out live on loose women?'

The brunette's spokesperson has since told told MailOnline that any comments suggesting she didn't find the sex out live, were 'speculating out of spite'.

Her representative said: 'It is fact that Danielle found out the gender of her baby live on Loose Women yesterday. The scan she had last weekend at a private clinic was a standard 16 week appointment, where her baby was confirmed as healthy and well - not as a boy or a girl.

'Those on Twitter making suggestions otherwise are merely speculating out of spite, which is very disappointing behaviour from grown women.'

However a separate source told told MailOnline that Danielle knew about the gender before appearing on live TV, unbeknownst to ITV and Loose Women.

The insider said: 'Danielle had a scan done last Saturday at Miracle in Progress in Derby. It was then that she found out the sex. She came out delighted with her partner Michael knowing that they were going to have a boy.

'Loose Women didn't know about her visit to the clinic. It's understandable she had pre-scan before she went on just o make sure everything was OK but everyone knew from the weekend that she was having boy.'

MailOnline have contacted Nicola McLean and Maria Fowler's reps for comment.

She said: 'They are desperate for a girl! Archie, the oldest, said he's fed up of the boys. I've told them the stork's bringing the baby, what are they going to say? "Send him back!"'

Speaking ahead of finding of the sex of the baby, Danielle had also candidly confessed she was hoping for a little girl.

She revealed: 'Michael doesn't really mind, it's his first baby so he's just really excited. As long as the child is happy and healthy. But... if this one's a boy, I would have to keep trying for a girl!'
