Amy Adams stars in an upcoming TV series with three movies in the works.

And the 42-year-old took a much needed break as she enjoyed the day off while shopping in Beverly Hills on Friday.

The Arrival star looked casually chic as she walked arm in arm with her husband Darren Le Gallo.

The Oscar nominee let the tension of show business melt as she donned a comfy ensemble.

Adams wore a loose pink tank top with a lacy white cover up on top, and she toted a cognac FASHIONABLE 'Tirhas' saddlebag. 

Her baggy blue jeans were rolled at the ankles revealing cute brown boots.

The ginger beauty kept her tresses long and loose while she rocked pink retro shades by TOMS.

Amy's 42-year-old actor husband kept in line with the relaxed vibe as he wore a grey T-shirt, blue jeans, and stylish high tops.

While only coming up on their second wedding anniversary in May, the couple have been together since 2001, having met in an acting class.

They got engaged in April of 2008, welcoming their only child, daughter Aviana, two years later.

Amy's next movie is a big one. She reprises her role as Lois Lane in the first Justice League film.

On the small screen she is also taking on the lead role in HBO's upcoming series Sharp Objects, based on the novel of the same name by Gillian Flynn.

In it she plays a reporter recently discharged from a psych hospital, who returns to her hometown to try solve the murder of two young girls.

It was little wonder Amy looked so happy as it was just announced she will be honored with the 2017 American Cinematheque Award at the ceremony on November 10.

Rick Nicita, American Cinematheque Chairman, said: 'The American Cinematheque is extremely pleased to honor Amy Adams as the 31st recipient of the American Cinematheque award at our celebration this year. 

'Amy Adams is one of the most beloved, admired, and respected actresses in movies today.'
