Northern BC, a region larger than California, comprises mostly untouched wilderness. The region is know for its incredible parks, wildlife viewing, fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. This week’s guestagrammer, @brandonbroderick, is sharing some of his favourite Northern BC photos.
“The drive to Stewart is very scenic and beautiful, and it’s even more impressive during the fall when the colours change.”
“In late summer, the wildflowers bloom in the alpine, seen here with Salmon Glacier near Stewart. This massive glacier is accessed by driving through the small town of Hyder, Alaska, so be sure to bring a valid passport.”
“Kleanza Creek Provincial Park is a beautiful spot located only 20 minutes east of Terrace, and is a must-see if you’re in the area.”
“The Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) fill the sky over the Nass River, north of Terrace.”
“Orion Peak, one of the Seven Sisters peaks, showing through a break in the clouds. This spectacular series of peaks can be seen from Highway 16 between Kitwanga and Terrace.”
“A breathtaking sunset from the shore of the Skeena River, watching pieces of ice float by as they drift toward the ocean near Prince Rupert.”
“The Milky Way on a dark, moonless night reflected in a small sub-alpine lake near Terrace.”
About @brandonbroderick:
“Originally from Ontario, I’ve been living in Terrace for just over 5 years now. I spend my free time exploring this beautiful part of the province and photographing the all the wildlife and landscapes it has to offer.”
