Shakira plays tourist while filming new video with Carlos Vives on the streets of Barcelona... as she prepares to release her eleventh album

She’s made Barcelona her home since embarking on a relationship with revered Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué.

But despite her familiarity with the Catalan city, Shakira appeared to play tourist while filming a new video with Grammy Award winning singer and actor Carlos Vives.

The Colombian star, 40, sported a baseball cap bearing the cheerful message ‘I love Barcelona’ while riding alongside her South American compatriot in a rickshaw.

Teaming her maroon T-shirt and black leather trousers with chunky platform boots, Shakira appeared to be in high spirits as they made their way through the picturesque city.

The singer is thought to be working on a new promo as she prepares for the rumoured release of her eleventh studio album – her first significant musical offering since 2014.

While no official announcement has been made, Shakira is expected to drop the album on May 26 after teasing fans with its first two singles, Chantaje and Me Enamoré.

He wants a court to decide whether parts of his 1997 song Yo te quiero tanto  were plagiarized in the vallenato-style hit that won last year's Grammy Latino award.
