An 18-day-old baby shocked his parents by holding his bottle of milk all by himself.

Adam Power, a newborn from New Jersey, was handed the milk by his mother-in-law and immediately began drinking, entirely on his own.

An adorable video shows him gulping down the liquid in the bottle as he holds it in his two tiny hands without any assistance whatsoever.

The woman who is wearing a light purple sweater and cradling Adam with a blanket, laughs and coos as she watches the newborn handle his own meal.

The woman moves the camera around from all angles to show that nothing is propping up the bottle.

It's just the little boy's hands and his hungry mouth keeping the bottle in the air, all by themselves.

Another woman's voice can be heard off-camera, saying 'Look at how good.'

The women speak back and forth in another language while little Adam is perfectly content sucking on the nipple of his bottle, getting his nourishment.

Most babies do not develop the motor skills required to feed themselves until they are between six and ten months old.

His mother, Navy, posted the video on a YouTube channel documenting her son's life called Adam's Achievements.

Earlier this month, another baby attracted a legion of online fans after his father posted videos of him stretching every morning.

The father's videos show the baby throwing his arms up in the air and laughing after his swaddling clothes are unwrapped.

Baby Kaden from Boston has his own YouTube channel called KP the baby and his own Facebook page where he calls himself a 'public figure'.

His father Kent uploaded the videos with the caption: 'Kaden (5 months) starts every day like a well-rested basketball player coming off the bench... PUT ME IN, COACH!'
