She has lost a stone after embarking on her own get-fit mission last year.

And Katie McGlynn - who plays Sinead Tinker on the ITV soap - is reaping the rewards of her hard efforts as she looked incredible in a form-fitting dress while stepping out in Manchester on Wednesday.

Katie sported a glittery silver dress that clung to her enviable frame and sported a sheer black roll neck underneath.

The see-through material added a hint of sass to the starlet's outfit as it teased a hint of her cleavage but she made sure not to put too much skin on display and covered up in an edgy leather biker jacket.

Katie elongated her pins by sporting a pair of suede ankle boots and wore a huge pair of shades as she stopped for a photograph at the entrance of the brasserie and bar.

Flashing a smile while having her picture taken, Katie seemed in high spirits for her fun-filled outing in her hometown.

Her ash blonde tresses were blow-dried to perfection, with her lightened lengths tumbling past her shoulders a she posed with her hand on her hip.

Boasting a flawless complexion, Katie finished her look with a nude hued lipstick on her lips.

All eyes were on the soap star's newly-slim frame as she has lost a stone, with the help of her co-star Catherine Tyldesley, and whittled herself down to a size 8-10.

After weighing in at 15 stone, she embarked on a lifestyle overhaul and Catherine's knowledge from her own 4 stone weight loss had helped kick start her new regime.

She has credited her revamped image to a new found love she now has for boxing.

In an interview with OK! magazine earlier this year, Katie revealed: 'I’ve always wanted to try boxing.'

'I’m not a full-on boxer, I just train for fun,' she explained. 'It’s good for fitness and it gets a load of aggression out if you get angry – which I don’t!'

Katie was seen working up a sweat in the ring while clad in lycra gym wear and throwing punches at her personal trainer.

She captioned the short clip: 'Getting a bit of anger out on @jamiemoore777 #theusual #workingupasweat #galsthatbox #boxing #fitness #funfun.'
