Rachael addressed her decision to put daughter Violet on a sugar-free diet on the program, alongside husband Michael Miziner.

'Those first couple of years are quite easy because they do not go to many birthday parties. I love that,' the Myer ambassador told co-hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.

'I feel it is my responsibility as a mother to try and control it as much as possible, sit at the beautiful foundation at home with the understanding of wholesome, real ingredients and now that she is going to more birthday parties, it does start to get a bit tricky.

'There's hot chips and nuggets, and sweets and lollies on the table. I do make sure, before she has left the house that we have filled her up with good food and she understands that it is a treat,' Rachael continued to explain.

After announcing last year that Violet was looked after by her grandmother Irena from Friday to Sunday every week, fans were swift and savage with their assessment.

'Tbh I couldn't spend more than a few hours from my children. They are my blood, my love, my life. I don't understand why you do what you do,' one critic wrote underneath a picture on Rachael's Instagram page shared last year.

Added another: 'Why did she have a child if she's not going to be a full-time parent? The odd night babysitting is great but every weekend, well that's just selfish.'
