'I’ll see you at the bar': Scarlett Johansson invites doppelganger grandmother Geraldine to come for a drink at her latest premiere

She's one of the most beautiful women on the planet.

But it seems that Scarlett Johansson has a doppelganger - and she invited her to party with her.

The 32-year-old actress posted a video directed to a 72-year-old grandmother called Geraldine, after a Reddit user named denverjoel shared a photo of his relative who bears a striking resemblance to the Ghost in the Shell star.

The picture was taken when Geraldine was 22-years-old, and Johansson said she had been swamped by messages from people telling her about the spooky resemblance.

'This video is for grandma Geraldine,' Johansson said in the newly-released video message.

'Geraldine, I cannot tell you, I have been absolutely inundated with emails and messages about how much we look alike. And I had to look at the photo myself. Holy crap.'

The star then invited the grandmother to meet up for a drink.

'I saw that you were, quote, "drunk as a skunk" when taking that photo, and I would like to see your drunk face,' the actress teased.

She continued: 'I want to share a drunk face with you. Let’s have a drink, Geraldine.'

The Lost In Translation beauty is next due on the big screen in comedy Rough Night, and given Geraldine's reportedly favour of a tipple, Scarlett clearly thought it would be the perfect match to invite her to the star-studded premiere on June 12 in NYC.

'I would like to invite you to - do you want to come and see Rough Night with me? Be my guest? We're a bunch of partying girls so it's a running theme'.

Let's have drinks! 'Geraldine, I cannot tell you, I have been absolutely inundated with emails and messages about how much we look alike. And I had to look at the photo myself. Holy cr*p!'

The generous star even offered to foot the bill for Geraldine to attend.

'I'll cover all of your hidden costs. I'll see you at the bar. Be there or be square!' she concluded.

After sharing the video online, denverjoe told Reddit readers that his grandmother was 'literally jaw-dropping dumbfounded' by Johansson’s invite.

He added, 'We are so taking them up on their offer. My grandma can get down.'

Johansson plays Jess in the dark comedy, alongside Kate McKinnon and Demi Moore.

In the movie, five best friends from college reunite 10 years later for a wild bachelorette weekend in Miami. During their hard partying they accidentally kill a male stripper. Amidst the craziness of trying to cover it up, they're ultimately brought closer together when it matters most.
