In the court documents, Tameka said the marriage was 'irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation,' according to ET, who obtained the papers last year.

She is seeking joint legal custody and primary physical custody of all of their children who are minors, adds the website.

The couple have a family reality show titled T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle which has had five seasons on VH1.

During a recent appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Tameka admitted the reality show contributed to some of the strain in their marriage.

'I think reality TV did, you know, put a little strain in it, just because it keeps people in your business,' she said.

When asked about why she filed for divorce, she said things were just not working out for them.

'We just cannot keep it together,' she said. 'The entertainment life and everything, it's just a lot, you know?'
