The USS Michigan, an Ohio-class nuclear-powered submarine, is currently docked at a naval base in Busan, South Korea, where it was recently joined by the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier group. North Korea's propaganda website Uriminzokkiri warned that if the USS Michigan 'tries to budge even a little, it will be doomed to face the miserable fate of becoming a underwater ghost'. 'The urgent fielding of the nuclear submarine in the waters off the Korean Peninsula, timed to coincide with the deployment of the super aircraft carrier strike group, is intended to further intensify military threats toward our republic,' the website claimed.

Arkansas police found the body of a missing nine-year-old boy after his mother, little sister and great-uncle were found murdered. The body nine-year-old Reilly Scarbrough was discovered in a heavily wooded area west of Hatfield, Arkansas  on Saturday. His mother Bethany Jo Wester's live-in boyfriend Brian Bliss Travis, 37,  helped find the body and is expected to face capital murder charges in for the boy's death.

Val Kilmer has confirmed he had cancer after repetitively denying that was the case. The 57-year-old used the word cancer to describe his aliment for the first time during a discussion with a fan during a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Wednesday. Many have held fears for the Top Gun actor since 2015 when he was seen at UCLA Medical Center and then two months later in December with a tracheostomy tube in his neck.

The fierce storms left a trail of overturned vehicles, mangled trees and damaged homes in Missouri, Arkansas and Texas on Sunday with six people already confirmed dead. A 65-year-old woman, Julia Schwede, was killed in Arkansas when a tree was blown into her home on Saturday night. In Missouri, a 72-year-old woman drowned despite her husband's efforts to save her as their vehicle was swept away by flash flooding. At least four people were killed in Texas in a series of tornadoes that left a trail of overturned vehicles, mangled trees and damaged homes. The storms were headed east into Mississippi and Alabama on Sunday.

A student who was kicked out of his university after being accused of sexual assault has spoken out after a court ruled in his favor against the school. Francisco Sousa (left) was 20 years old and studying at San Diego State University on foreign exchange from Portugal when he was accused by his then-girlfriend of sexual assault on December 9, 2004. The 20-year-old was arrested (right) at the time and charged with sexually assaulting and imprisoning a woman near campus. Shortly after the arrest, he was suspended from the school and an email was sent to students warning them that Sousa was a sexual predator - despite an investigation into the allegation not being completed.

Residents of Pikeville, a town with a population of fewer than 8,000, were at a loss over why The Traditionalist Workers Party, had selected it for the rally. The party is passionately anti-abortion, anti-immigration and pro-faith. It works specifically on behalf of white Americans who it says 'have been abandoned by the system and actively attacked by globalists and traitorous politicians,' for decades.

This is the notorious Colombian prison where an Australian woman was locked up after she was arrested with 5.8kg of cocaine at a South American airport. Cassandra Sainsbury, 22, (left) was taken to El Buen Pator (bottom right) in Colombia's capital after she was arrested at El Dorado International Airport in Bogota on April 11. Miss Sainsbury, a personal trainer from Adelaide, has been locked up at the overcrowded women's prison since. Incredible photos to emerge from inside the prison show inmates dressed in formal wear, crowns and sashes for the prison's annual beauty pageant (top right). Other photos show women with their babies inside the prison. Reports of deplorable conditions have also been documented, with one woman describing it as 'overcrowded, filthy and with bullet holes in walls'. Miss Sainsbury will remain behind bars until her hearing in two months, according to her family.

Ueli Steck (inset) was killed in a mountaineering accident on Mount Everest in Nepal after slipping and falling 3,280 ft down the mountain, severing his body into bits and pieces on the rough terrain. His body parts (pictured left on a helipad after they were flown to the Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal this afternoon) have been recovered from the site. He was planning to climb 29,035-foot Mount Everest and nearby Mount Lhotse next month. The 40-year-old Steck was one of the most-renowned mountaineers of his generation. He posted on Facebook for the last time on April 26 from Basecamp.

Manuel Asensio, 62, has brought a lawsuit against his ex-wife Emilie Bosak in Manhattan Supreme Court claiming she has stopped their 12-year-old daughter's religious education. Asensio, who is a Bear Stearns financier, claims Bosak took their daughter to St. Barts over Easter without his permission. The suit states that as part of the couple's 2013 divorce settlement, they agreed to inform each other if their daughter was leaving New York and 'consult' one another about her education, religion and health concerns.

A mother whose infant child was allegedly murdered by her former lover has spoken out about her harrowing story to television host Dr Phil. Roxanne Lewis-Randall (main) had been in a secret relationship with a married dentist, 35-year-old Bert Franklin (left inset), when his increasingly violent behavior reached a breaking point, she said. CCTV footage (inset bottom) allegedly captured him slamming her son Lincoln's (inset right) head into the ground, making a kicking motion, then carrying the child while nonchalantly getting himself a piece of pizza. The child's mother told Dr Phil through tears about what Franklin did next.

Elle Johnson, from Park City, Utah, has spoken out after she was banned from the social media account due to a 'violation of community guidelines'. When her account, which boasts over 418,000 followers, was taken down on Tuesday she took to Instagram to slam the social media site. She tweeted: 'Booted off #Instagram again! They treat models like #United treated Dr. Dao. Not the physical abuse part-the random get off the plane part!' (inset).

The footage, filmed on a dashcam on an unspecified stretch of highway, shows the red emergency vehicle speeding up the left lane. As it nips along, with the siren blasting, a black car uses it as a chance to avoid some traffic by following behind. But tailgating an ambulance can be extremely dangerous, as cars aren't expecting another vehicle when letting the emergency vehicle past. Ambulance drivers can also be forced to slam the breaks on when other motorists are unpredictable which can end in an accident.

A huge 10-foot alligator has been spotted trying to get a birdie on the golf course. Video showing the mammoth reptile stalking after two sandhill cranes at the ChampionsGate golf course near Orlando, Florida, on Friday afternoon, was shared online over the weekend. The gator, which appeared to be about 10 feet, was seen following closely behind the birds just moments after it emerged from a marsh just off to the side of the fairway.

A cat was captured on video seemingly abandoning his animal instincts for some more human-like qualities. Adam Gates of Boulder, Colorado filmed his pet pawing at a mirror appearing to clean it as he smirked in the background. At one point, he suggests the cat get some window cleaner so he could 'save him a lot of time' with the household chores.

Felix the cat had a less-then-stellar start to her bank holiday when she was dunked into the Thames by a cruel and cold-hearted rival (pictured left). Fortunately a helping human was on hand to rescue her (pictured right). The mog, who works as an office cat in London's Royal Docks, suffered no injuries or trauma.
