ARC Approved™ Ateliers, Workshops, and Academy Schools: Learn more about ARC's Mission.
It is a well known fact that few, if any, of the college and university art departments of today are able to provide the kind of genuine art instruction sought by ever-growing numbers of students and aspiring young artists. The Art Renewal Center recognizes the importance of providing information on ateliers, academies, schools and private instructors dedicated to the teaching of art in the traditional manner, and is pleased to list them here. The future of the fine arts is in the hands of the artists and teachers of today and of the next generation. |

How To Apply for ARC Scholarships: At ARC, we view our Scholarship program as one of the most important. In order for future generations to produce great art, we must not lose the accumulated knowledge of the last several centuries. At our ARC Approved™ atelier schools, we know these methods are still taught by some of the greatest artists alive today and the students who are the recipients of these scholarships will receive the training necessary to create great works of art and carry the knowledge to the next generation. We award $30,000 in scholarship funds a year. Applications are accepted in the month of May.

Art Scholarship List: In addition to the Art Renewal Center's Annual Scholarship competition, there are a series of other scholarship programs available to help students learn traditional painting techniques. Some of the ateliers have their own scholarship programs and there are certain government programs and scholarships put out by private foundations available to students as well. |

These selections will be of use to artists from beginner to advanced levels and help build the foundations and perfect the technical skills that are necessary to create and understand art. |

Technical Articles: The Art Renewal Center is pleased to make available a growing collection of technical articles for artists, students, and art lovers who would like to learn more about painting, drawing, and sculpting techniques. Bouguereau Book Grant: ARC is pleased to announce that 100 two volume sets of the Bouguereau Biography and Catalogue Raisonné are being donated to ARC approved ateliers, reference libraries, and museums, so that art students and art lovers around the world will have access to this monumental book.
