Leggy Rita Ora goes super low-key in huge anorak with tiny shorts and a baseball cap as she emerges just hours before Met Gala

She has stormed the Met Gala red carpet for the past four years running.

So Rita Ora is undoubtedly gearing up for a turn at the glitzy annual bash as she appeared super low-key and minimal while heading out of the Big Apple's Bowery Hotel on Monday, just hours before the extravaganza was set to begin.

The 26-year-old songstress showed off her usual edgy flare for fashion as she peeled a huge orange anorak over a pair of tiny denim shorts while masking her face beneath a baseball cap and sunglasses.

Rita Ora stepped out of her hotel in Manhattan looking quite laid back while she covered up in a bright orange Dsquared2 windbreaker jacket.

On her feet she wore a pair of statement boots also by the Italian brand. The stompers came straight from the Fall 2017 runway and were previously worn by Bella Hadid.

The boots feature a chunky lug sole with sparkly embellishments and silver hardware for an edgy, urban look. We'd team them with leggings and an oversized hoodie to tap into the sports luxe trend.

Rita is known for her edgy style and chic ensembles, with Monday's day time outfit displaying the versatility of her style, taking her from a punky getup to a no doubt outrageous ballroom later in the night. 

Ensuring she did not totally wrap up her stunning frame, the basis of the songstress' ensemble was a pair of skimpy denim shorts which made the most of her endless legs boosted by punky studded ankle boots. 

Over the top she pulled an orange anorak which gave a sporty edge, while also masking her face through the hood pulled high over her head. 

She added in a black baseball cap with complementary sunglasses which acted to give a hint at her superstar status due to her incognito look.

While there is no confirmation, Rita will likely grace the red carpet at the gala, with her previous appearances making headlines in all variety of manners. 

Last year, Rita's appearance was dominated by the rumours of her association with 'Becky' - the widely-discussed character referenced in Beyonce's Lemonade album, in which the songstress alluded to Jay Z's infidelity.

Back another year and Rita went for a daring gold gown with a volumunious skirt and risque lace-up boots however her inaugural Met Gala look was wholly more muted as she wore a white pinstripe pillar gown with a slashed leg and gaping sides. 

On Monday stars will sweep the famous steps outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art at the heart on New York's 5th Avenue for the annual style-studded bash.
