But that did not stop rapper A$AP Rocky from cuddling up to singer Lana Del Rey at a fashion bash in New York on Tuesday.

The cocksure music star seemed to be revelling in the moment, and was holding a glass full of what appeared to be fruit punch as he lived large in the Big Apple.

Video Games favourite Lana, real name Elizabeth Grant, seems to have a soft spot for the men of hip hop.

For the 31-year-old is rumoured she is being romanced by rapper G-Eazy, who also has a slightly less exotic real name, in his case Gerald.

The American singer was reportedly spotted 'making out' with the music personality, at California's star-studded Coachella music festival.

The singer will play Oya Festival in Norway alongside Mac Demarco and rapper Vince Staples, following up with a stop at Germany’s Way Out West festival the next day.

She wraps up the season at Flow Festival in Helsinki, Finland which takes place from August 11 to 13.
