Hours later the model changed into an even more alluring number - a sheer white lace outfit - as she went to an after party.

This sighting comes just before it was revealed by TMZ that her ex Justin Bieber has been dating singer Hailee Steinfeld for 'several weeks.'

Sofia Richie attended the Met Ball Gala in a custom made gown by Topshop. And for her second look of the night she dipped into Tadashi Shoji's Spring 2017 collection for this ethereal number.

The white jumpsuit was made of sheer lace and Sofia covered her modesty with a strapless bustier bra worn underneath. She completed her look with black heels and a patent leather handbag while glasses added a demure vibe to the ensemble.

The Met Gala is the highlight of the fashion calendar.

And with ground-breaking Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakuboas named as this year's theme, the famed fund-raiser is sure to provide plenty of spectacle.

The 74-year-old officially founded her cerebral design house in 1973 to critical acclaim - and was dubbed 'anti-fashion' for challenging the notions of beauty with her innovative aesthetic.

Comme des Garcons has been showing collections in Paris each season since 1981.

The Metropolitan Museum in New York - where the annual gala is held - is displaying 120 Comme des Garçons womenswear designs by Kawakubo, spanning the past 35 years, since her first Paris show.
