The Oscar winner looked sensational as she took to the stage at New York's famous Carnegie Hall.

She showed off her trim figure in the purple number, which was made up of contrasting prints flowing down into a full-length skirt.

Black platform heels peeked out from underneath the layered skirt.

Catherine added a pair of sparkling earrings and a glam full face of makeup, including a glossy plum lip to complete her look.

The actress, who won her Oscar for her role in Chicago, belted out a song for her friend Jimmy as the star-studded crowd cheered her on.

Catherine's husband Michael Douglas, 72, also took the stage during the evening, looking dapper in a sharp suit as he delivered a speech.

Art Garfunkel, Ashley Campbell, Toby Keith, Marilyn McCoo and Dwight Yoakam were among the artists joining Jimmy onstage to benefit the Alzheimer's Association and the I'll Be Me Fund in honour of Jimmy's friend of 50 years, Glen Campbell.

Webb is an acclaimed songwriter and composer having written numerous platinum-selling songs, including 'Up, Up and Away', 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix' and 'MacArthur Park,' as well as collaborating with the likes of Glen Campbell, The 5th Dimension and Art Garfunkel.

Webb was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1986 and is the only artist ever to have received Grammy Awards for music, lyrics, and orchestration. 

Catherine meanwhile has been hard at work recently promoting her TV show Feud: Bette and Joan, where she stars as golden age actress Olivia de Havilland.

The TV show follows the infamous feud of Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon) and Joan Crawford (Bette Davis) during and after filming of their movie, What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?

The Ryan-Murphy-produced series will follow infamous rivalries throughout history, including the one between Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

According to E!, the second season, which will follow the royals, will reportedly debut next year and feature 10 episodes.

While speaking with Kimmel, the beauty said that her children [Dylan, 16 and Carys, 13] have shown interest in the family business: acting.

And Catherine revealed that she wholeheartedly supports their decision.

'You know, I know it's gonna be hard for them because they've got their grandfather Kirk. They've got me. They have Michael. But they so inherently love it [entertainment] and they're good!'

'They go to summer camp every year. They do like three musicals and straight plays and they love it.'
