They have been trying to rebuild their relationship since welcoming their son Caben-Albi into the world in January.

And while Stephanie Davis and Jeremy McConnell had confirmed they were officially dating again, their romance appeared to hit the rocks once more as the pair jetted on holiday together following Jeremy's stay in rehab.

But despite their fallout, Stephanie, 24, has proven she and her beau are back on good terms by posting a photo of the couple kissing to Instagram on Friday and publicly declaring her love for the father of her child.

In the photo, the former Hollyoaks star and Jeremy are locking lips while posing in front of a mirror for a selfie.

Wearing his and her coats, the duo seem smitten with each other and confirming that is still the case, Stephanie penned alongside her snap: 'Proud of this one. What a man he's become.

'Hope I can make you proud the way you have made me.'

She added the hashtags: '#growtogether #lovetogether #sticktogether #wifeyforlifey.'

Her loved-up post came just days after Jeremy had unfollowed his Celebrity Big Brother love on social media.

He made the telling move that suggested all was not well between himself and Stephanie, after she posted a worryingly incoherent tweet about cheating on Wednesday night.

It read: 'Someone who gives you and doesn’t answer, don’t I. There beat a cheat n always n in.'

The post was reportedly deleted 20 minutes later, but Jeremy blocked the star following what was reportedly a huge drunken bust up on holiday.

The Irish hunk's rep insists Jeremy is tee-total after his rehab stint - and that he left the hotel he shared with Steph after her outburst.

The spokesperson explains: 'To imply that Jeremy was drinking three days after leaving rehab is a malicious lie.

'Jeremy removed himself from the situation last night and checked into a hotel.'

He is now following Stephanie again on Twitter, but is yet to do so on Instagram.

The morning after sending her tweet, an obviously regretful Stephanie revealed her decision to quit drinking for the sake of her family and relationship, saying: 'I destroy lives.'

She wrote: 'I can’t drink because it ruins my life. I keep things in. I destroy people’s lives. Me and Jeremy can’t drink. And won’t be drinking again.

'It’s been hard for me to admit and accept. I’m a good mother and a good person, but alcohol doesn’t agree with my life. It’s a chemical imbalance.'

The star's issues with booze have been long documented - she was sacked from Hollyoaks in 2015 after bosses tired of her turning up to work hungover or still intoxicated.

Show bosses confirmed Stephanie's contract had been terminated after she arrived on the set of the Channel 4 soap unfit for work.

The actress was given her notice 'with immediate effect' following at least '20 incidents'.

A spokesman for the soap said: 'Stephanie’s contract was terminated following warnings for lateness, attendance and after a final incident in which she turned up to set unfit to work because of alcohol consumption.'

MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for Stephanie for comment.

The message comes just a day after Stephanie revealed in an interview with Closer magazine, that she and Jeremy, who are parents to Caben-Albi, five months, would like to try for baby number two, following his recent stint in rehab.

Stephanie confessed she was feeling 'broody', adding that her boyfriend wanted to be there for her next pregnancy, after missing out first time round.

She admitted: 'We’ve both talked about having another baby at some point.

She said: 'For Jez, it’s about wanting to put right what he did wrong and be there throughout my next pregnancy. And I’m so broody – I’d love to give Caben a little sister one day.'

She also revealed that wedding bells could be on the horizon, saying she 'can't wait to marry him one day'.

Stephanie made the official announcement that she was in a relationship with the father of her son once again on This Morning last week.

Since then, the pair reunited in Ireland following Jeremy's stint in rehab and were seen jetting off on holiday from Manchester airport together on Sunday.

Speaking about rekindling their romance, Stephanie said: 'I know a lot has happened and it might seem strange to some people, but me and Jez have always loved each other.

'The love never went away between us and we’ve both done things we regret, but hopefully this can be our fresh start.

'I finally feel like things are falling into place and we both adore Caben. I still feel emotional about everything but I’m just so happy now; I just want us to have a normal happy life.'

Stephanie also revealed her 'relief' when Jeremy told her that he was going into rehab, saying she 'couldn't be prouder of him for getting the help he needs'.
