Holt and Ylinen were heard pleading with the mother to, 'Stop! Britney, stop! Let go!' while the boy's father yelled, 'Give me the goddamn baby!'

A Central Texas judge has been formally reprimanded for a social media post that said a 'tree and a rope' were needed for a man accused of fatally shooting a San Antonio police detective. James Oakley (left) was given the reprimand by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct after he made the remark on Facebook (inset). Oakley was commenting on the arrest of Otis Tyrone McKane (right), who is the chief suspect in the fatal shooting of Benjamin Marconi on November 21. Oakley has said his comment was intended to reflect his personal feelings that the killing 'should qualify for the death penalty.'

Police are looking for a group of men who beat a street vendor unconscious in the Bronx, leaving him with serious injuries. Souleymane Porgo (right and inset), 53, from Burkina Faso in West Africa, is in critical condition after five men approached him on Tuesday afternoon and punched him multiple times. He was knocked to the ground but even after he fell the men continued to punch him before they walked away (left).

Actress Suzanne Somers and her husband Alan Hamel (main) are selling their 73-acre compound villa in Palm Springs, California, for $14.5 million (inset). Located right at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains in the Mesa neighborhood, the home - called Les Baux de Palm Springs - has been owned by the actress and her husband, Alan Hamel, since the late 1970s.

Donald Trump was pictured hitting the links on Saturday at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. The President had previously stated that the purpose of his trip to the club was for 'meetings,' and explained that he would be 'working from home' during the weekend. A photo showing the President enjoying his favorite pastime on the greens emerged on Instagram, taken by another member of the golf club. When contacted about the photo, a White House spokeswoman would not comment on whether or not the President was playing golf. Shortly later, the photo was removed from Instagram.

Newly engaged MSNBC anchors Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough were poked fun at on the latest hilarious episode of Saturday Night Live where the two NBC stablemates couldn't keep their hands off one another in front of horrified guests and Alec Baldwin appeared via telephone as President Donald Trump during the cold open. The Morning Joe hosts announced earlier this week that they were engaged after Scarborough popped the question to Brzezinski while the two were on a romantic trip to the south of France to celebrate her 50th birthday last weekend. Kate McKinnon took on Brzezinski and absolutely nailed it as Alex Moffat also successfully portrayed Scarborough for the skit.

The French have a stark choice between two candidates - pro-business independent Emmanuel Macron and far-right populist Marine Le Pen. With Macron the pollsters' favorite, voting stations opened across mainland France at 8am (6am GMT) under the watch of 50,000 security forces guarding against extremist attacks. Both candidates were surrounded by press as they voted on Sunday morning. Le Pen cast her ballot in a church Henin-Beaumont, a small northern town controlled by her National Front party. Le Pen (pictured right) arrived at the polling station with Henin-Beaumont Mayor Steeve Briois, who took over as the National Front's leader during the presidential election campaign. Topless feminist activists (pictured inset, left) who had climbed on to the roof of the church, hung a big banner and shouted anti-Le Pen chants were removed and briefly detained by police before she arrived. Front-runner Macron voted in the coastal town of Le Tourquet in northern France alongside his wife, Brigitte (pictured left). The former Socialist economy minister and one-time banker was all smiles as he stepped out of his holiday home in the seaside resort.

A video of protesters toppling a statue of late President Hugo Chavez in Venezuela (main) emerged as thousands of women took to the streets to protest the country's socialist government Saturday. As women banged on pans and some stripped off their white shirts in an event the opposition billed as a 'women's march against repression' (top and bottom right), the video footage of two men destroying the statue in the western state of Zulia was carried by local media. Women took over streets in major cities all around the South American country, including the capital Caracas.

A World War II fighter aircraft was dredged up from the bottom of the Kerch Strait between Crimea and mainland Russia on Saturday (pictured). The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk fighter aircraft (left), leased from the US to the Soviet Red Army, spent about 70 years underwater until divers spotted it nearly four miles from the coast. The divers were searching the waters for mines and bombs with the $3.2 billion construction of the Kerch Strait Bridge - a project Russian President Vladimir Putin as called a 'historic mission'.

A sensible bull elephant in the Tarangire National Park, Tanzania, was filmed acting as peacemaker after a pair of ostriches starting kicking each other. The magnificent animal ambled towards the pair, surveying them quietly for a few moments before deciding their spat was more than a mere annoyance. He began spreading his ears - a known sign of aggression in elephant body language - but when that failed to break the ostriches apart he gave an almighty trumpet and charged at the birds.
