A 64-year-old man dressed as the Joker was arrested yesterday in Maine for drunk driving after crashing his car on the way home from a Halloween Party.

Dennis Lalime was driving home from a Halloween party in Old Town around 2am when he drove his 2002 Buick Regal off the road.

The Morning Sentinel reports that Lalime was uninjured but his car was damaged and struck by multiple trees and rocks before coming to rest.

The crash was reported to police by a local homeowner who heard the accident happen.

When Lalime was booked a short while later at the Somerset County Jail, his mugshot showed him still in his Joker costume with the traditional white-painted face, darkened eyes and wild green hair.

He was charged with OUI.

But Lalime isn't the first to be booked looking like the Clown Prince of Crime.

In 2008, a 20-year-old man dressed as the joker was arrested attempting to steal Batman memorabilia at a screening of The Dark Knight in Three Rivers, Michigan.
