She was heartbroken when she split from Declan Donnelly, but seems to have happily moved on.

Former Sky Sports News presenter Georgie Thompson, 36, stepped out with her new love, Olympic sailor Sir Ben Ainslie.

The new couple, who have kept their relationship secret for several months, looked as if their romance was still in its honeymoon phase as they spent time together in New York.

Georgie is in the States working on a new Fox Sports programme Crowd Goes Wild.

Ben, 36, flew from Bermuda, where he had been competing in the Argo Group Gold Cup race, so that the couple could spend a few romantic days together in the Big Apple.

The couple wore casual outfits as they strolled together with Georgie wearing a black-and -white leopard print dress, while she was also seen in a blue sweatshirt.

Meanwhile Ben,a four-time gold medallist, wore jeans and a tight grey sweater which showed off his athletic body.

They strolled in the city’s West Village, where they were spotted pausing for a tender kiss.

They also enjoyed a romantic al fresco breakfast at the Standard Hotel in the fashionable Meatpacking district.

Georgie recently revealed that the couple have known each other for several years before they started dating.

She told the Sunday Mirror: ‘We met through friends at an event and I don’t really know how to describe it. It was a bit of a thunderbolt that took years before it became anything real.’

‘We were in different places, but then in April the stars aligned and it made sense to be together and we haven’t looked back since. It’s very special – he makes me very happy.’

Georgie dated Dec, 38, who presents I’m a Celebrity alongside Ant McPartlin, for two years before they broke up in 2011.
