'I feel a little responsible!' Gisele Bundchen jokes that her meditating helped Tom Brady win the Super Bowl

Back in February Tom Brady inspired the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history as the New England Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in an epic overtime duel.

And now star quarterback Brady's wife Gisele Bundchen has joked that she should be given some of the credit.

'After screaming and praying and calling my family and asking everyone to pray,' Gisele told Jimmy Fallon on Friday. 'I started meditating, because it was the only thing that could calm me down, because it was kind of crazy.'

And she joked: 'I channeled some great energy and, really, I feel like a little responsible.

'I brought love and peace and clarity and calmness into the game. It shifted after that, I must tell you.'

The Brazilian supermodel, 36, started dating Brady in 2006, and the couple later wed at the start of 2009.

Tom and Gisele have two children together, a seven-year-old son Benjamin and a four-year-old daughter Vivian.

Brady, 39, also has a nine-year-old son John with his actress ex Bridget Moynahan, who he dated from 2004 to 2006.

Since the New England Patriot quarterback's record-breaking fifth Super Bowl win in February, he has kept a relatively low profile.

In a rare interview earlier this year, Tom revealed how protective Gisele is over his career.

In an interview earlier this month with SiriusXM NFL Radio, he admitted: 'If it was up to my wife, she would have me retire today. She told me that last night three times. And I said, "Too bad, babe, I'm having too much fun right now."'

Tom also revealed that the fashion beauty had given him a necklace that supposedly has protective powers in order to keep him safe in the lead up to the big game.

The New England Patriots superstar said: 'She gave me this [necklace] for protection, and she’d be really happy that I’m wearing it because she doesn’t like anyone hitting me.'

Gisele was given quite the welcome as she spoke to Jimmy on The Tonight Show - in the form of a litter of puppies.

Making the most of her slender midriff, she tucked a simple white T-shirt into the bottoms, accessorising with a simple bangle and hoop earrings.

And with her hair in loose waves, along with minimal make-up, she beamed as she cuddled up to the adorable puppies.
