How I found this place.:
Okay, so me (previously known as Alfred) and my brother Albert are in this place called Second Chance Animal Shelter ... not too shabby compared to the street were were living on before we were brought here as little kitlets.

And so like, Al and I..we're whooping it up and being crazy like, when all of a sudden, Albert decides to decorate the litterbox and WHOA! The room clears out. Whew, Albert. He's famous for that fumage.

So like, just then, this furless kid and his mom come through the door. They say they're looking for Bonnie and Clyde -- these two spiff-spiff Himalayan kittens around the corner. Pfffft. Appawrently, this furless had two Himmies for a long time and said she misses them terribly.

So...as I was saying... they go over to Bonnie and Clyde and find out they're already spoken for. So then...next thing I know they're nosing around this shelter looking at all the other cats and kittens, taking us each out, saving us for last because of Albert's turbulent stomach fragrance and stuff.

So like, out they take me and like, this furless kid, turns out like, he's REALLY cool. He plays with me and Albert and I got real crazy. At one point this boy has me upside-down in his arms, like, SO cozy and warm-like, and I'm purring. And he says..."Mom, this cat is mine. I just know it. This cat is really mine" and his eyes kind of twinkle-like.

I can see his mom get all soft and mooshy-like, and I'm thinking, like, "man, this kid...he really likes me. This is SO amazing!"

The shelter lady says something about the mom's application having been great (her what ...?) and then something degrading happens: they put me in this cardboard box with holes. Like a COFFIN or something, and I get put into this thing with wheels with them....I MROW all the way home. LET ME OUT OF THIS STINKING COFFIN! I AIN'T DEAD YET!

So. After a ride, we are in this boy's room, kinda cool. He has this...this....well, it's like a bed but it's really high up and over a desk, and like, I can see the WORLD from up there! I got to sleep there, under the covers! Right up in the clouds there! Cool.

So then, like, in the middle of the night, he sez I'm snoring. Okay, well, purring. And he can't sleep. So then his mom comes up into this bed-thing in the sky, and he goes into my mom's bed. They trade. So I'm able to cuddle real close. Humans are furless and such, but they have pretty good body heat, which is something I can use to my advantage. Note to self: Free bodywarmer.

The next day...WHOA...they like, haul all this STUFF in for me. From a dog-proof litter box (CHECK IT OUT, MAN!) to my own scratching post/bed thingy, to toys and a laser light thingy.... man, I'm like the PRINCE here! And I hear the mom saying something like "this reminds me of the free cricket that cost $22 in supplies to keep it alive." Huh?

:::shrug::: I don't get it.

Well, I aint planning to head out on the street at all. I really think this is the cat's meow. I could get used to living like this. MROW!

Oh, and guess what. To top it off, I have a new golden-boy name. I am now Sir Milo Buddy Bean. Well how about them apples?

I am SO liking this gig. Where's the pretty veiled princess to pop tuna nuggets into my mouth? Oh, and great news! My brother Prince Albert got adopted about 2 weeks after me, and has a wonderfur home nearby! Yay, brother Albert! :::purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr::

I've been tagged!

My cool friend Griffin tagged me.

Here's how you play the game...

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 cats to tag. Don’t forget to purr them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary or send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!

My Seven Facts

1. I sleep on the bed at night...but I also disappear to somewhere else in the house mid-night. No one knows my secret spot. But by morning I'm back next to my mom in bed again. ::::purrrrrrr:::::

2. Cindy Lou Who is my best friend. It's okay that she's a dog. I'll forgive her. She can't help that about herself.

3. My brother Albert, who has a different home, looks just like me but his coat is darker. I wonder how he's doing?

4. I can race faster than my mom down the basement steps to help her do laundry, but I'm not too graceful about it.

5. I can sit upright on my butt like a meerkat! For a long time!

6. I love to ambush all the dogs when they come in from outside. GERONIMO!

7. I carry around the dog toys in my mouth like they're my baby kittens, and I bat 'em around and play with them.

Off to tag 7 feline friends!
