'And the winner is... La La Light!' Amy Schumer spoofs Oscars blunder at the MTV Movie & TV Awards... before begging Goldie Hawn to adopt her

Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn mocked the infamous Oscars Best Picture blunder at the MTV Movie And TV Awards on Sunday.

But the funnygirl added some extra fun to the mix by also begging the silver screen icon to adopt her as her daughter before handing out the movie of the year gong, which was won by Beauty And The Beast.

As they presented the honour, Amy, 35, announced the winner as 'La La Light,' before 71-year-old Goldie quipped: 'No, that’s Moonland,' in reference to the mix-up that saw La La Land named winner over actual victor Moonlight at the Oscars.

Goldie kicked off the comedy double act by announcing: 'We’re so excited here, we’re presenting the award for movie of the year. The movie of the year.'

But the comedienne, with a knowing wink, chimed in: 'I hope we win this next year… for Snatched.'

Amy then took the opportunity to stake her claim to a celebrity mother while they plugged their mother-daughter film Snatched.

Goldie set her up by saying: 'I have to tell you something. I had the best time with you. You're so much like (me), you could be my daughter. When I look at you, I just want to snuggle you.'

The Trainwreck star replied: 'Love you! I feel the exact same way, I really do, which is why we should make it official, you know?'

A man then made his way onto the stage and handed over a document, with Amy saying, 'This is Isaac, this is my lawyer.

'This is an actually, legally binding adoption form, so that we can make this real! So that I can be your daughter in the eyes of the law and everybody.'

Feigning desperation to get out of it, Goldie said: 'Well, you know, I don't have a pen!'

Unfortunately for the Overboard star, Amy had come prepared, telling her: 'That's not a problem! Actually, we have a pen,' with her 'lawyer' opening his jacket to display  collection of writing devices a calligrapher would be proud of.

Quick-thinking Goldie soon moved the discussion onto surer matters, announcing the nominees for best picture.

Formerly known as the MTV Movie Awards, TV shows were also eligible for Golden Popcorn trophies at this year's ceremony, which was held at the Shrine Auditorium in downtown Los Angeles.

MTV also broke down gender barriers in its new format, with men and women competing together in the acting categories.

However, the traditional irreverence was still on display, with awards recognising the best hero, villain, kiss and duo across television and film.
