'Surprise! We are pregnant!' Jason Aldean and wife Brittany Kerr are expecting their first child together

Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany Kerr have announced that she is pregnant.

The country star revealed his happy news in an Instagram post, featuring a picture of the couple wearing Baby Daddy and Baby Mama T-shirts.

'Been hard to keep this secret but we couldn't be happier to add to our family,' Aldean wrote. 'This year just gets better and better.'

While Aldean, 40, is already a father of two, this will be the first child for his 28-year-old wife of two years.

In a post made by Brittany at the same time of her husband, she called the pregnancy the 'biggest blessing'.

'SURPRISE!!! WE ARE PREGNANT!!!' she started her message. 'This was the hardest secret we've ever had to keep.'

And she continued: 'This journey for us has been full of many happy times & also many tears... The biggest rollercoaster we have ever been on, without a doubt! 

'All of the moments of heartache were followed by the biggest blessing in the entire world!! We will never take one moment for granted & can't wait to meet you, sweet baby!!!' 

Aldean is already a father to daughters Kendyl and Keeley from his 11-year marriage to high school sweetheart Jessica Ussery.

The spouses announced their split in 2013, seven months after Aldean admitted 'behaving inappropriately' with American idol contestant Brittany.

Aldean officially began dating Brittany the following year, and the two wed in 2015.
